ABOUT ABOUT

The Portland State University Alumni Association, in partnership with the School of Social Work presents a unique event to help prepare you with the tools for all stages in your career. In most professions, having a LinkedIn presence is no longer an option.  Whether you are just starting out or have years of experience, your LinkedIn profile is how you manage your online brand and your professional network.

In this presentation, Steven Joiner, our key note speaker and nonprofit career consultant will cover:

  • Professional networking and what it looks in the social service field
  • How LinkedIn can help guide your career
  • Where to turn for resources outside of the classroom

Please join this collaborative training to create connection, share resources and better the services we provide to our communities. As service providers at the micro, mezzo and macro levels, not only do we need to be in community to share resources, but to unite as a force of change. The more connected we are, the more we can advocate on behalf of our profession and social justice.

Cost: $10, includes heavy appetizers and one drink ticket for beer/wine.
